Lakshmi is known as the goddess of fortune, wealth and prosperity. She also symbolises beauty, charm and grace. The word 'Lakshmi' comes from the Sanskrit "Laksya" which means aim or goal, so she is an embodiment of good luck for those who have ambition in their life. As female counterpart to Lord Vishnu (the male energy), Mata Lakshmi is called Shri - the feminine energy of God that gives prosperity and abundance to everyone's lives.
Goddess Lakshmi is known to be the Hindu Goddess of wealth, prosperity, fortune, and the embodiment of beauty. She is stated to convey good fortune and shield her devotees from all forms of distress, specially money-associated sorrows. Festivals such as Diwali and Kojagiri Purnima are celebrated in her honor.

4) Handcrafting
We keep on extending our portfolio every now and then by continuously adding uniquely expressing moortis, perfectly finished temples that are long-lasting and dimensionally accurate. Our moortis and ghar mandirs are known for possessing gracious looks, smooth finish and 100 % pure white marble.
Each idol of Pratistha is made with precision and many hours of hand carving. So it is very valuable and also needs to be taken care of. Proper care ensures that the beauty of the idol stays for generations of life in your family.
As the idols are made in marble, it has life expectancy for 1000s of years.
You can take following steps to take care of the idols:
1. Use a soft-bristled brush, or dry cloth to clean the idol for dust. So the painted won’t be removed.
2. You can clean it with water sometimes, but do not rub cloth afterwards, dab to absorb the water or wait until it dry up.
3. Pooja items like kumkum, turmeric, chandan, saffron, fresh flowers tends to stain the marble so even if you apply, remove it before it dries up. If you put it overnight, the stains would be hard to remove.
4. If you tend to put the incense stick, agarbati, dhoop near the idols, the smoke stends to stick on the marble after a long time usually 10 years which can be washed and removed.
Idols are totally handcrafted and the we only use organic colours. So if you feel you need to recolour the idols we can do them. Usually it takes 10 years for the colours to fade. Up if you rub them too harsh.
You can contact us for any kind of queries related to the idols.
